Oakbio Inc. is the creator and developer of a breakthrough biotechnology-based process and proprietary microbial platform for cost-competitive manufacture of sustainable non-petroleum derived chemicals and fuels to address society's most pressing industrial and environmental needs. By using low cost and renewable or waste raw materials, our patent pending technology delivers products that are both cost-competitive and  environmentally sustainable.  Our microbial bioreactor system can capture CO₂ from waste industrial gases and convert this carbon source into chemicals used in biodegradable polymers, cosmetics, food additives, industrial lubricants, plastics, other specialty chemicals and fuels. Our process will contribute to amelioration of atmospheric CO₂ accumulation by sparing use of petroleum oil to make chemicals, and, by using waste CO₂ that would otherwise be released. We call our process of creating chemical value from waste CO₂ gas carbon-capture and conversion (CCC). 

Our products are designated sustainable² to represent simultaneous use of renewable energy and sparing of atmospheric CO₂ accumulation. We don't use biomass or agricultural feedstock. We use waste CO₂ and renewable energy.
