Overview
Oakbio, Inc. is a private company founded in 2008 as a Delaware corporation to use life science technologies to develop clean technology solutions.
Our approach leverages the interface of biotechnology and microbiology with
other disciplines such as engineering, electronics, chemistry and industrial
design. Oakbio’s microbes can grow rapidly using CO2 from industrial
flue gas as sole carbon source, in the presence of other gases like SOx
and NOx. A specialty chemical product candidate is produced in relatively large amount. This chemical will launch
us into small-volume, high-value production to meet certain markets, can later be
expanded to satisfy larger markets and eventually contribute to transportation fuel needs as a “drop-in” fuel.
